Stone Outfitting Ltd. operates a low volume, highly personalized service to
all of our clients. Hunts are conducted with one guide assigned to each
hunter. Whether you are planning a single specie or a mixed bag hunt we
have the equipment, professional staff, and knowledge of the area to assist
you in taking your trophies. Our broad background and experience in
the outfitting and guiding industry ensures the success of a hunt and satisfaction
of our clients as out best means of advertising.
Our hunting territory, area number
14 is located in central Yukon, 120 air miles north of Whitehorse. The
country is magnificent, far away from civilization, and accessible only
by plane or boat. The Yukon Territory of Canada is a vast primitive wilderness.
Trophy Stone Outfitting is permitted by the Yukon Department of Renewable
Resources. Together we work to make this prime hunting area with its trophy
wild game accessible to hunters worldwide.
Trophy Stone Outfitting Ltd. is the only permitted
big game outfitting company in this 7,000 square mile area (approximately
4.5 million acres). Using a variety of base and spike camps throughout
this hunting area, we are able to offer quality hunting for Stone Sheep,
Alaska/Yukon Moose, Mountain Caribou, Grizzly Bear, Black Bear, Wolf and
Wolverine in the months of August, September, October, and November. Spring
hunts (for Grizzly, Black Bear, and Wolf) and Winter hunts (for Wolf and
Ptarmigan) are also available. You will also find unbelievable fishing
in the many lakes and rivers throughout the hunting area.

After booking your hunt with Trophy Stone
Outfitting Ltd. you will need to make your flight arrangements to arrive in
Whitehorse Y.T. Canada at least one day prior to your hunt, with departure
from Whitehorse at least a full day after the last day of your hunt. This
is to allow for possible weather delays.
Please let us know your flight itinerary so we can make your hotel reservations.
Then upon your arrival we will meet you at the Whitehorse Airport and take
you to your hotel. At this time we will give you details on your charter
flight into the hunting area and make arrangements to transport you to
the float plane departure docks located in Whitehorse.
On the first day of your trip, a charter float plane will take you
approximately 120 air miles north of Whitehorse. After about a 1½
hour flight you'll land at a base camp. At the base camp you will have
time to re-check your rifle.
Depending on what species you are hunting and the season, will determine
if you will hunt out of the base camp or travel horseback to one of the
many spike camps. Our basic equipment includes pack and riding horses,
saddles, rifle scabbards, boats and motors, comfortable cabins, tents,
sleeping pads and camp equipment. All you need to bring on your hunt is
your personal gear.
Your shooting distance will vary from 50-300 yards. You should have your
rifle sighted in 2-3 inches high at one hundred yards and be familiar with
the trajectory of your rifle at a variety of distances. All hunts will
be conducted in the spirit of fair chase. Our high success rate does not
imply easy hunting, it simply means we hunt hard and have an excellent
population of trophy animals to hunt.
In closing we would like to thank you for taking the time
to consider Trophy Stone Outfitting Ltd. for your next hunt. If you have any
questions about the hunts that we offer please give us a call and we will
be happy to assist you. We sincerely look forward to taking you hunting
and having you as our guest in the Yukon.
